The Academy Award nominations are out for this year's ceremony, and while this isn't exactly a big shocker for those who saw the acclaimed film, The Power of the Dog was one of the heaviest hitters. It scored a dozen total noms, with lead star Benedict Cumberbatch going up for Best Actor for his lead role in the film as Phil Burbank. This is the second Best Actor nod for Cumberbatch, who was previously nominated for 2014's The Imitation Game.
