Because Matt Reeves felt that he had his perfect Dark Knight in Robert Pattinson, the director recalls feeling "devastated" over the actor's casting in Tenet. As of now, The Batman is playing in movie theaters everywhere, introducing Pattinson as the newest incarnation of the World's Greatest Detective. Reeves, who co-wrote and directed the film, knew pretty early on that Pattinson was who he wanted for the role, based on the range he'd seen the actor exhibit in prior movies.
