Jason Momoa will be writing, executive producing, and starring in Chief of War, an Apple TV+ limited series about the colonization of Hawaii. Momoa will write alongside Thomas Pa’a Sibbett (Braven), with Doug Jung (Dark Blue, Star Trek Beyond) serving as showrunner. Justin Chon (Pachinko, Blue Bayou) is in talks to direct the first two episodes of the eight-episode series.
