For critics and fans of the Halloween film franchise, Halloween Ends proved to be a divisive conclusion to the saga of Michael Myers and Laurie Strode. Disappointed fans felt that the movie didn't feature enough of the original boogeyman and instead focused on a new villain, Corey Cunningham (Rohan Campbell), to do most of the heavy lifting. The film garnered such strong reactions that a petition on Change.org asked for signatures to reshoot the film.
