The director behind the latest Disney live action remake, Peter Pan & Wendy, has promised that the adaptation will not resort to telling a “dark and gritty version” of the beloved story. Filmmaker David Lowery has discussed the project with SFX Magazine, and assured audiences that his take on Peter Pan aka the Boy Who Wouldn't Grow Up, is an "adaptation of all the best parts of that film, with plenty of intervention and reinvigoration."
