In a new interview with Theo Von to promote the Netflix action-comedy film The Out-Laws, Devine lamented how the comedy genre has become considerably less popular and profitable in recent years. The Workaholics star shares his belief that the rising budgets on superhero films wound up leaving filmgoers with the choice of watching something that's like a visual spectacle compared to a classic, simple comedy movie. Movie tickets cost the same either way, and as they aren't getting any cheaper, some people may pick the higher-budget film to feel like they got their money's worth.
