Scott Lang's debut in the Marvel Cinematic Universe was going to be directed by acclaimed filmmaker Edgar Wright. However, the first Ant-Man film ended up being helmed by Peyton Reed, who also directed the two sequels, but many of the original ideas proposed by Wright remained, while others were discarded.
