As the summer season winds down, Netflix is ramping up its slate of true-story adaptations with the upcoming feature, Society of the Snow. Inspired by the distressing real-life events of 1972, when a plane transporting a Uruguayan rugby team went down in the Andes Mountains, the movie is set to provide a raw and emotional depiction of the survivors' battle for existence. The streaming giant recently released the first teaser trailer for the film, giving viewers a glimpse into the extreme conditions endured by the 29 initial survivors out of the 45 passengers on board the Uruguayan Air Force Flight 571. Despite the absence of a fixed release date, the film is already eliciting enthusiasm and anticipation.
