Hocus Pocus’ director Kenny Ortega wasn’t invited back to the party. Despite the enormous part Ortega’s film plays when it comes to celebrating Halloween each year, he wasn’t asked to return and helm the 2022 sequel, Hocus Pocus 2. Ortega said in an interview with Entertainment Weekly:
