Director Shawn Levy is still holding out hope for a Free Guy 2. The sequel hasn't received an official green light, despite the original film's critical and financial success. In the film, the protagonist, Guy, lives in Free City, an open world video game where he is an NPC. Free City is filled with nonstop action and adventure. As Guy begins to understand his own existence and purpose, he actively works to save Free City from destruction by the game's owner, Antwan (Taika Waititi).
