“Don’t call it a comeback,” because three-time Oscar winner Daniel Day-Lewis isn’t coming out of retirement. At least that’s the word from prolific filmmaker and playwright Jim Sheridan. Day-Lewis and Sheridan collaborated on three critically acclaimed films — My Left Foot, In the Name of the Father, and The Boxer, which was less adored but still scored well with critics (and holds 81% on Rotten Tomatoes). While discussing Day-Lewis' retirement, Sheridan also revealed Day-Lewis’ disdain for all the poor choices “streamers” offer. Sheridan said in an interview with Screen Daily:
