Sir Ian McKellen is on the mend after a shocking fall the 85-year-old actor suffered during a recent performance in London, taking time out of his recovery to thank those who sent him kind words of support, as well as the staff of the National Health Service looking after him. McKellan was on stage portraying John Falstaff when the incident occurred during a performance of Player Kings at the Nol Coward Theater in the West End, which saw McKellen fall off the stage during a fight sequence. The Lord of the Rings actor was said to be in good spirits following the incident, with word coming that he would make a speedy and full recovery.
