Producer Jerry Bruckheimer, who has been in charge of the Top Gun franchise since its conception, has shared some disappointing news about a new follow-up to Top Gun: Maverick. After the 2022 film brought back the blockbuster concept to theaters in the post-COVID-19 era, and it gained some nominations at the Academy Awards, many thought a third film would enter production quickly to capitalize on the phenomenon. But it seems Top Gun 3 will take a bit longer to arrive.
